How is CardiacCrash unique?

CardiacCrash uses an interactive, gamified approach to provide an enhanced CPR and AED
learning experience targeted to workplaces and schools. It’s short and fast-paced. The CardiacCrash workplace version features a woman experiencing cardiac arrest to spotlight the reluctance of bystanders to step up and perform CPR on women.

CardiacCrash portrays an emotional cardiac arrest scenario that reflects a
true-to-life experience. Teams compete for points by answering questions correctly and winning their group’s hands-only CPR practice session. The facilitator of CardiacCrash monitors the quality of the CPR performed and determines the winner of each session.

Do I need previous teaching experience?

No, you don't need to have teaching experience and you don't need to have facilitating experience. The resources available will give you tips and tricks on how to run a session and engage your audience. If you haven't taught or facilitated before though, you will want to plan for some extra time to practice running a session in an engaging way, maybe with some friends and family. The more your run sessions, the easier and more enjoyable they will be become.

Do I need to be an expert at CPR?

No. You do not need to be an expert at CPR. The film will be doing all of the work in providing the instruction on how to do CPR and use an AED. There is also a handy "Frequently Asked Questions" available in the Facilitator's Resource Guide to help you answer questions about CPR that might come up during the post-film discussion.

How many participants are recommended for CardiacCrash?

We recommend a minimum of 8 students and a maximum of 40 per instructor session.

If running a session where there are less than 8 students, you can ask students to double up and do more than 1 CPR session, or find volunteers to join a CardiacCrash Team.

We strongly recommend that there is a minimum of 8 students in a session.
